One of the most disruptive things in a household is poor sibling relationships. We understand this. After our first adoption of a sibling group of five children we had children who literally could not be left alone in the same room together because they would fight so intensely. That is a far cry from the current peaceful state of our home. We now have thirteen children who are truly closely bonded friends and love to spend time together. And there are no cliques among our thirteen children. There were many things involved in this change in our family, but one of the most bonding activities was the chore rotations that we use. Children who learn to work together well are able to play together well. We would like to encourage you that it is possible to not only eliminate the fighting, but to have siblings who are loving, supportive of each other, and truly enjoy being with each other.
